Crispy Mac and Cheese with Tuna

 

You can leave the tuna out or substitute something else.

1 lb. pasta

1 ¼ cups grated cheddar (half mild, half sharp)

1 cup milk

6 Tbsp. flour

6 Tbsp. butter

Salt, pepper, nutmeg

2 pieces bread

1 can tuna

 

Boil pasta. Toast bread and grind into crumbs with food processor. Grate cheese. Melt butter in a small saucepan and add flour, then milk. Stir until thick and starting to bubble. In a baking pan, mix the drained pasta with the milk sauce, grated cheese, tuna, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Combine well. Add bread crumbs on top. Cook 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees F.
